Cotton Cloaks

All these cloaks, capes are full length ~60″. Fitting sizes up to ~40″chest.

CLOAKS are symbolic in many ways. They disguise, protect, allude and often associated with masks, disguises. Cloaks, capes all alter the dress or appearance of, conceal identity or true nature. In the tale of “The Emperors new clothes” he was deceived, belittled and incurred much loss, not just his clothing! Exodus 22:26-27 in Mosaic law which many still adhere to “If a borrower gives a lender his cloak as surety against a loan, the lender must keep it overnight, as it may be the only shelter the borrower has. This is akin to the story of the widows mite, a coin.

Cloaked, hidden as one masks, hides one’s true self, projecting a persona is called Imposter syndrome. The fake until you make it, or discover from the deep subconscious the true essence of self. A self one defines free from those impressions imposed upon by others. Hidden is one meaning of occult. The name Esther (Easter) means hidden for the name Hadessa. The Biblical story of Purim. ” The Lady of heaven” a movie about the people of the cloak Al-Aba; Mohamed, Fatima is the designated Lady of Heaven as she is veiled. These are symbolic names as Mohamed means master, those  masters who wrote the Quoran as the equivalent  of Jesus Christ means master.  Many  masters of which wrote the Holy Bible.The family of the cloak  consists of Mohamed, Fatima, Ali and grandsons Hassan and Has yn. Cloaked in the mystery, veiled in illusion, veiled in a different cloth. The mystery is what Rumi called the beloved, like unto the Lady of Heaven veiled covered from ones base self. As all the earth is hidden behind a veil of forgetting, a veil of illusion.

Care instructions: Wash in cool to tepid water in mild detergent. Add white vinegar to the rinse cycle to keep colours bright and prevents running of colour. Prevents matting of fibres. Air dry or warm cycle with wool dryer balls (Sold in this apothecary) reduces drying time. Iron or steam press carefully. Treated lovingly this item will continue to look as good as when you bought it for years to come.
