Gorgeous skirts.

These colourful, gorgeous skirts contain some recycled materials but most is new. Made from bandanas and other cotton fabric.Representative of the  Moorish  ancestors from Basque country. The Moors in Christianity is a name applied to children who are not baptized. In Basque Mairu means Moor and refers to a mythical people. The original word Moor was used in Middle ages to denote non white inhabitants of Europe that does not reflect any specific ethnicity. It was also used to denote Muslims or Black people as in their skin colour and alluded to the black attire of Muslims, Berbers / Arabs. The Muslims of Medieval Spain and Portugal thrived from 8th – 15th c.

They have pockets and fabric belt tie. Front and back shown in photograph.

Cool to tepid water wash in mild detergent. Add  white vinegar to rinse cycle to keep colours bright.

Air dry or medium temperature dryer. Press or Iron on cotton setting.
