Conveying what one has experienced, seen or witnessed can be a challenging task. Especially the inner workings of one’s own energy. Many scribes in ancient liturgy spheres also had that challenge. When a decree was sent throughout the land by King, Queen or whoever had the authority to do so with the seal of authenticity; it was taken as the WORD of whichever god they revered or had engaged to fulfill their purpose. For example the masoretes wrote in the language of the Jewish peoples. Muhammed was the title of those who wrote for Islamic peoples. As in the manner of practice of oral tradition of the Gaulic and Celtic bards historically seen in tales, myths, stories in ancient Briton just one of many tribes in England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Isle of Mann. In Iran old name Persia which governed a vast territory and was a collection of many tribes as was the areas we know these days as the middle, far and near east. The Sumerian record keepers wrote for a community that often baffles modern understanding. Most of the extant texts were written under Roman or some other countries occupation spanning hundreds of years.
The scribes and messengers were not always the same person. The scribe and messenger did not always have a knowledge or understanding of the written message. The scribe and the Bard were often many were employed to write in her or her own language and tongue to write, convey what was ordered by their governor be it King, Queen, priest, shaman, land or country owner. It was just a job for the most part and their feelings or opinions were to play no part in this transmission of the WORD.
Translation, transcribing the message into other languages was a challenging task that often incurred mistakes in interpretation and understanding and writing substitutions. Especially if they knew not the base or common language, tongue of the governing body giving the decree to be written. In other words from whence it came, from who it came, when it came and the why. The Why was not for the scribes concern. However the common people or the pagans, slaves, women and those considered of a lower mentality and social station. Those who revered other governing principles, deities or even gods; apart from their rulers, Kings, Queens, Lords, Ladies, Igigi, watchers where not all together as illiterate, uneducated as history has constantly portrayed. They often had a clearer lens for the most part unencumbered and grounded in a better present.
Those who governed often had corrupt entourages of followers, priests, within a structured hierarchy or entitlement. The female, women whatever their station were often ill favoured for historical compliments and power rendered within that station. Many labelled Jezebel, Jinn, Shatan or devilish, a Vashti. Their presence is usually negated or modified to fit the written word. The WORD taken and literally accepted as truth from a god, a science, dominance of ancient Rome, the religious, church, a business company, parental dominance, relationship dynamics including sibling and gender intra and inter relationships.
In the words of Sufi and musician Hazrat Inayat Khan “As rhythm is innate in man and maintains his health, so upon rhythm depend all a man’s affairs in life, his success, his failure, his right acts, his wrong acts, all are accounted for in some way or other by a change of rhythm” (See the Kyballion for rhythm). These Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds are of worth to contemplate. (Zarathustra of Zoroastrianism. The Nietzsche kind is a different kettle of fish)
As one contemplates the current rhythm of one’s own life, consider how do you move through the world, through those blockages, the dark nights of the soul that feel like perpetual winter. Are you running away from awareness? This often overwhelming energy is symbolized in the 8 of Staffs. Staff represent movement, energy, the flow at speed, quick developments, travel, direct messages, speeding through life’s lessons. As one ages in years there comes a time for many when they retire from the world and it’s external everyday concerns, or feel that longing to be on holiday, It is a pattern, a rhythm, unravelling, releasing as one loosens the grasp on those things that bind one to the constant grind of societal and other more subtle expectations self imposed or otherwise. Often stemming from one’s belief system of judgement and lack of discernment and awareness needing improvement.
It can be a time to act, put things in order, release and relinquish stagnant energy, out modded beliefs, patterns, upgrade one’s system in all departments. During this self refurbishment one receives an influx of rapid energy flow symbolized in the 8 of staffs as one balances this energy surge within. The Sufi practice of Nazar bar q’adam is vital. It can take many forms depending on the individual. Many esoteric modalities to accomplish it’s ends and new beginnings; involves focused deliberate intention and concentration of the breath like Hindu Vedic yoga practices. Grounding one’s life force in every step activating the piezoelectric currents within the body. Build one’s bone density, Sufi twirling, chakra functionality, fascia sensitivity to name a few ways to go forward. Beyond the past that one leaves behind, that is where the source of unravelling targets stagnant energy build up there.
The overwhelming amount of energy locked in stagnation is released, there is an abundance of insight, constant fiery energy like a comet targeting oneself, caught up in a whirlwind like an adrenaline rush, out of control. Establishing a new rhythm flow within ones self which is outwardly observed as a radiance called Nur, it looks like the yogi glow when one sweats; not just in one’s perspective but behaviour and how one moves through the world with greater ease, confidence and understanding. That radiance Nur that presence that surpasses all understanding.
The Presence some experience as death (Maut) of the ego or actual bodily death, a je ne sais quoi, and do not understand it’s message. Partly because they do not recognize the messenger or the one conveying the message as it does not fit their expectations. Expectations from their belief system and what they have been conditioned to think as authenticity and authority from their god symbol, or scientific proof. When the fog lifts, when the big light goes on when the light bulb glows brighter, clarity is defined and one sees the radiance, feel the feeling of presence. One sees, recognizes that light beyond the stagnant understanding. Binah is understanding the third Sephirot on the Kabbalah tree of life.
During this journey to greater understanding of self and the presence that guides and envelops one as a soul, angel or angle of light and energy their are hormonal changes, a strange attractions, holy longings, information flow, clearing of the cerebral spinal fluid (CSF), fascia flowing more freely, harmoniously, unencumbered, the inner dialogue improves (Anandaphasia) as ones own power life force is refurbished comes online so to speak. The extent of this transformation depends on which aspects of self need redeeming to use a religious word. Some sense it as above mentioned , some in the chakras. That presence some call god, devil, Allah, angels, demons, jinn, Shatan, is part of the illuminating forces within and External to ones self. Encapsulated in the grounding belief system one adheres to, grasp at, longs for that is the controlling force many scribes anciently and these days have manipulated to create the world as seen then and now and everyone has that same power to create their own WORLD from the WORD.
