There is a cautionary tale, short story by Hans Christian Anderson; the Emperor’s new clothes. The story has many morales in a more modern context, it casts light o the dangers of self deception and importance of honesty. It can be applied to many spheres of thought. The clothes made from this wondrous cloth would be invisible to everyone who was unfit for any job to be held in the emperor’s realm or who was very simple in character. That is the ruse of the thieves who spun the cloth. Relates to imposter syndrome. The Emperor had many suits of clothing like multiple personality syndrome, he changed them each hour of any day as does a masked person changing their minds on a question or issue. Regardless of the issue they are very inconsistent. Akin to the contemporary government policies ever changing. Consumerism, marketing, business strategies, policies and procedures using fear based, greed and ignorance beguiling employees, clientele, the masses through materialism. Pilfering, thievery, fitting in, false advertising, flattery, deception of those who think them selves wise. False mediums and preachers and those with narcissistic tendencies. The blank canvas display in the 1990s I think that went for millions, bought by those who had status, money or aspired to status by buying into this deception. It was a real event.
Without honesty people often end up looking very foolish. In any society or world many people especially those with little or no confidence or fee different in some way peculiar to them selves, very prevalent in the youthful years feel they need to pretend. Go along with the flow, acquiesce, pretend to know or understand a thing to prevent looking foolish or stupid. Alternatively some have covert intentions following the loosh, false light teachings or teachers, administrators who do not know how to teach, convey the message that they themselves do not fully understand or accept. These days many rely on AI, other outside influences, forms and forces. Succumbing to conscious biases and have no thought of their own or suppressing it for fear full reasons. Thus they are manipulated and set up for control in whatever form it takes to maintain the perpetrators purpose.
It takes courage to speak the truth as you know it, and stand up to social, peer, familial, relationship pressure or fear. Especially when that means being the only one to do so, threats of loosing a job or status in any organization. That usually arises due to lack of confidence in one’s abilities, or inability to perceive one’s innate worth and value that more positive aspect. Dangers of vanity and pride make leaders and followers susceptible to deception, the power of group thinking and conformity and the honesty as “childlike” innocence in it’s wisdom reveals falsehood.

Used to describe a situation in which most people praise or seem to believe something is false or has no value; because they are afraid to go against the general opinion. The fear to do the task was too tedious or they might make mistakes is often observed in youth of today in the work force and even in homes; they think themselves entitled.
